this is an overview of 4 different cat breeds:

persians:

a very famous cat breed, these are fluffy lap cats that do not budge ever. they are the opposite of active and are the star of every cat show, and come in almost every color and pattern. the big balls of fur will happily sit on your lap instead of climbing up a cat tree.

scottish fold:

possibly the cutest breed of cat, these balls of fur are adorable. they have round eyes, cheeks, faces, everything, but they aren’t like persians. they are playful and sweet, and if you have a litter of them about half will have straight ears. this is because one parent needs to have straight ears. why? because if they inherit to copies of the folded ears gene, they may not survive. so the ones with straight ears have their own breed: scottish straights.

bengal:

breed from asian leopard cats, bengals are truly wild. with their spotted pelt, agile body, and wild face, they must belong in the jungle. they need a lot of enrichment, like cat trees, scratching posts, cat shelves, and more! they may need to be taken outside often. these are not lap cats. if you wanted something cozy, choose another cat!

sphynx:

this cat looks like an alien from space. it is almost completely furless. sphynxes are very cuddly and need sweaters in winter. they are intelligent cats that love a good cuddle. they have prominent cheek bones and a rounded belly. this is the best known hairless cat and is more often seen in houses then other hairless breeds.
